　　spy這個(gè)字就是「間諜」。當(dāng)動(dòng)詞用的意思自然就是「做間諜做的事」，也就是「監(jiān)視，跟
　　蹤」之意。當(dāng)你要去監(jiān)視跟蹤某人，美語(yǔ)中就說(shuō)成spy on someone。

　　只不過(guò)是天時(shí)地利而已。
　　大多數(shù)的人想到幸運(yùn)，都會(huì)直覺(jué)反應(yīng) lucky，但其實(shí) lucky 有很多種表示法。像有一次我問(wèn)老美怎么追到這么一個(gè)如花似玉的女朋友，他回答我，"Just right place, right time." 我一聽(tīng)就立刻聯(lián)想到了中文里的，「天時(shí)地利人和」這句話，沒(méi)想到英語(yǔ)里就這么簡(jiǎn)單，"Right place, right time." 就解決了。(或許應(yīng)該再加上 right girl?) 所以我也開始不是只會(huì)說(shuō)，"I'm just lucky." 了。例如后來(lái)有一次老美問(wèn)我為什么我有免費(fèi)的 T 恤可拿，我就很瀟灑地回答他，"Just right place, right time, no big deal." (只不過(guò)時(shí)間地點(diǎn)剛好對(duì)了而已，沒(méi)什么大不了的。) 事后想起來(lái)，連自己都覺(jué)得很得意自己會(huì)這樣回答。
　　2. Same here.
　　我也是。
　　我想當(dāng)大家看到中文「我也是」的時(shí)候，百分之九十九的人 "me too." 會(huì)立刻脫口而出。甚至有些人還會(huì)說(shuō)， "So do I." 但是說(shuō)真的，老美是會(huì)說(shuō)，"me too." 和 "So do I." 沒(méi)錯(cuò)，但好象太平常了一點(diǎn)，(大概是因?yàn)檫@些用法我上國(guó)中的時(shí)候就知道了吧！)
　　我覺(jué)得比較酷一點(diǎn)的講法應(yīng)該是，"same here." 它完完全全就等于 "me too." 例如上網(wǎng)聊天最后大家常會(huì)說(shuō)，"All right. I have to go to bed now." (好吧，我該去睡覺(jué)了。) 這時(shí)對(duì)方就可以回答，"same here." 表示我也該睡覺(jué)了。另外 ditto 這個(gè)用法也流行過(guò)好一陣子。它的意思是，「同上」當(dāng)然也就等于 "me too" 的意思啦。 例如最有名的例子，在第六感生死戀 (Ghost) 里，Demi Moore 和 Patrick Swayze 的對(duì)話，"I love you." "Ditto."

　　1、"我請(qǐng)客"：覺(jué)得我們常用pay這個(gè)詞，如Let me pay it for you。這里列舉三種說(shuō)法：I am buying；This is on me；This is all my bill。
　　2、one-time thing：帥哥跟一美女過(guò)了一夜，回來(lái)后室友問(wèn)帥哥：Do you really love her？帥哥回答：Oh, it was just a one-time thing!那么one-time thing是什么呢？我就不羅嗦嘍！
　　3、"向前看！"：我們會(huì)說(shuō)Look forward！而美語(yǔ)里有個(gè)更貼切的說(shuō)法是Eyes front！"眼睛朝前"，是不是很生動(dòng)？
　　4、"頭等大事"：你會(huì)怎么翻譯呢？The most important thing嗎？看這個(gè)吧"It's on the top of my list"。
　　5、"停電"：No electricity？恩，夠直白！其實(shí)提到"電"，老外更多是用power，停電就可以是Ther is a power failure或Power goes out。
　　6、"我不是傻子！"：I am not a fool？對(duì)，語(yǔ)法完全正確。但再看這個(gè)I am no fool。比上面的只少兩個(gè)字母，但是不是感覺(jué)不一樣？同樣的道理，我們常說(shuō)I have no idea，而不常說(shuō)I dont have any idea。
　　7、short hairs：是說(shuō)"短頭發(fā)"嗎？呵呵，它就是我們說(shuō)的"小辮子"！
　　8、"收買某人"：有個(gè)比較正式的詞叫bribe，名詞時(shí)為"賄賂"的意思，動(dòng)詞時(shí)就有"收買"之意。既然提到了"買"，那么我們能不能用上buy呢？當(dāng)然，那就是buy sb off。
　　9、She knew red was her color。"她知道紅色是她的顏色"？恰當(dāng)?shù)姆�譯是：她知道自己和紅色很相配。Then, what's your color？
　　10、"看在主的份上，你就......"：兩種說(shuō)法，其一是For the love of God，另外For God's sake(sake的意思是緣故、關(guān)系)二者之中，后者更常用。

　　I don't like splitting hairs. 我不愛(ài)斤斤計(jì)較
